What is Search Engine Optimization?

Search Engine Optimazation(SEO). It ‘s the way of getting a web traffic from “free”, “organic”, “editorial” or “natural”listing on search engines.Everytime we search something on major search engines like goolge and hit 'enter' you get a list of web results that contain that information you would like to know. As what we observed normally users tend to visit websites that are at the top of this list as they perceive those to be more relevant to the query. If you have ever wondered what are the reasons why some websitelinks appear on the first page they you must know more about Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

How Search Engines Work?

The primary basic truth you need to be acquainted with SEO is that search engines are not like humans. I know that this is very understandable for everybody. Different from humans, search engines are text-driven. Even though a very advances technology is rapidly updating, search engines are far from clever human being that can determined whether this design is cool because of its attractive design, flash movies or what so ever. Instead, search engines crawl the Web, looking at particular site items (mainly text) to get an idea what a site is about. This brief explanation is not the most precise because as we will see next, search engines perform several activities in order to deliver search results –retrieving, crawling, indexing, processing, relevancy and calculating.

How search engine crawling happens?
The first thing that a search engine do is to crawl a web page performed by a piece of software, called a crawler or a spider (or Googlebot, as is the case with Google). Crawler Spiders track links from one page to another and indexing process will be the next step everything they find on their way. As early mentioned, since crawlers are not like us humans and they do not see Flash movies,  images, frames, JavaScript, etc., so if I were you try to run the Spider Simulator to check  if the web pages content that you have in your site wasn't able to processed, not indexed, not spidered, or not viewable , etc. if you observed this after running spider simulator then it is not visible to search engines.
